We think fair enough isn’t good enough. That’s why we started building Democratic Republic in 2018.

But first, coffee. Our direct-trade approach does better than fair by farmers and roasters. We’ve scoured the African continent to reward artisans. We are paying them better than fair, incentivising high quality, and empowering them to form direct and collaborative relationships. The result? Happy artisans. Good coffee. 

A new chapter in our story is wine. Democratic Republic is our collection of limited release wines specially sourced from small and family-owned wineries and biodiverse vineyards. Our debut release is overseen by Saveri Petrilli, friend, award-winning winemaker, and Godfather of Tuscan biodynamic wines. We are proud to bring you responsibly made, utterly good wine.
